Blazers Take Control in the Second Quarter

City Oilers scored first through Titus Lual, but James Okello answered for the Blazers. The defending champions edged a competitive opening quarter 14–12 after a turnaround basket from Joel Kayira.

The decisive separation came in the second period. Nam Blazers outscored the Oilers 31–17, using sharper ball movement and more efficient shooting to establish a 45–29 halftime advantage.

City Oilers matched the Blazers 19–19 in the third quarter but could not reduce the 16-point deficit. Franck Fataki Nyembo then helped close the contest in the fourth, including a powerful dunk during a late scoring sequence.

Peter Obleng Leads Nam Blazers

Peter Obleng produced his strongest performance of the finals, finishing with a game-high 22 points, seven rebounds and two assists.

Nyembo added 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Henry Ssebagala scored 15 points. Nyemeck Kevin Leonel contributed 13 points and four rebounds.

Although Tonny Drileba did not lead the scoring, his playmaking and work on the boards were crucial. He recorded 11 assists and 11 rebounds to complete a notable double-double.

For City Oilers, Jonathan Komagum led the response with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Patrick Rembert scored 14 points, while Fayed Baale added 11.

Game Seven Remains Difficult to Predict

Nam Blazers won Game One 73–67 before City Oilers responded with victories of 79–75 and 76–72 in overtime. The Blazers took Game Four 74–70, while the Oilers reclaimed the advantage with a 78–73 Game Five win.

That sequence underlines the uncertainty surrounding Game Seven. Nam Blazers carry momentum from Game Six, but one strong performance does not guarantee another. City Oilers still possess extensive finals experience, and neither side can reasonably be treated as a certain winner.

The championship will therefore be decided on Saturday, 22 August 2026, at Hoima City Arena. City Oilers are pursuing an 11th NBL crown, while Nam Blazers are seeking to retain the title they won last season.
