Barcelona 7-2 Racing Santander: Raphinha Hat-Trick Powers Barça Rout

Barcelona continued their blistering start to the 2026/27 LaLiga season with a spectacular 7-2 victory over Racing Santander at Camp Nou, making it six league wins from six. Raphinha scored a hat-trick, João Cancelo struck twice, while Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal completed another goal-filled night for Hansi Flick’s side.

For football fans in Kenya, Barcelona’s free-scoring form makes them one of the major teams to follow as the new LaLiga campaign gathers momentum.

Cancelo Stunner Sets Barcelona on Their Way

Barcelona entered the contest having already scored 21 league goals, and it took just eight minutes to increase that tally.

Lamine Yamal supplied João Cancelo, who unleashed a sensational curling effort from around 25 yards. His strike clipped the underside of the crossbar before flying into the top corner.

Barça continued piling on the pressure through Raphinha, Dani Olmo and Karim Adeyemi before earning a penalty midway through the first half. Raphinha converted confidently, sending Julen Agirrezabala the wrong way to make it 2-0.

Racing Fight Back, but Barça Responds

Racing Santander briefly threatened to make a contest of it when Maguette Gueye produced a superb individual finish on the half-hour mark.

Barcelona’s response was ruthless.

Six minutes later, Cancelo tried his luck from approximately 30 yards, with his deflected drive beating Agirrezabala for his second goal of the evening.

Raphinha then grabbed his second after an excellent Barcelona move involving Rodri, Adeyemi and Olmo, giving the hosts a commanding 4-1 advantage.

There was even an opportunity for a fifth before half-time after Pedro Felipe conceded another penalty. However, Agirrezabala denied Yamal from the spot.

Raphinha Completes His Hat-Trick

Racing was handed hope after the restart following a Barcelona mistake. Wojciech Szczęsny, introduced at half-time for the injured Joan García, was dispossessed by Yassir Zabiri, who rolled the ball into an empty net to make it 4-2.

Barcelona responded almost immediately.

Adeyemi won another penalty, allowing Raphinha to complete his hat-trick with a clinical finish into the bottom corner. The Brazilian’s treble took him to an impressive eight LaLiga goals in six matches.

Gabriel Jesus and Yamal Complete the Rout

Yamal endured some frustration after missing his penalty and later seeing a goal disallowed for offside, but the youngster remained influential.

With 11 minutes remaining, his through ball released Gabriel Jesus, who calmly opened his body and guided home his first LaLiga goal for Barcelona.

There was still time for another.

After Racing was denied at the other end by a goal-line clearance, Barça countered rapidly. Adeyemi delivered the final pass to Yamal, who made no mistake this time to seal an emphatic 7-2 victory.

Barcelona’s Perfect LaLiga Start Continues

The result means Barcelona have now won all six of their opening LaLiga matches this season. Their attacking numbers are particularly impressive, with Flick’s side repeatedly producing high-scoring performances across competitions.

Barcelona also extended their winning H2H sequence against Racing Santander to nine consecutive matches, while Racing remain without an away point since returning to Spain’s top flight.

For Barça, the combination of Raphinha’s finishing, Cancelo’s long-range threat and the creativity provided by Yamal, Olmo and Adeyemi made this another demonstration of their considerable attacking depth.
