First Half: Cagliari Strike First, but Roma Fight Back

Roma started aggressively, with Gianluca Mancini forcing an early save from Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile. However, the visitors stunned the home crowd when Niccolò Pisilli handled Michel Adopo’s header inside the penalty area.

M’Bala Nzola confidently converted the resulting penalty, sending Pierluigi Gollini the wrong way and handing Cagliari a surprise lead.

The advantage did not last long.

Youngster Emanuele Lulli, just 19, rose to meet Nahuel Molina’s cross and headed home the equalizer. It was his second goal in consecutive appearances, underlining his growing importance to Roma.

Lulli continued tormenting the Cagliari defense before setting up Pisilli, who redeemed his earlier mistake with a composed finish to put Roma 2-1 ahead.

Second Half: Daniel Maldini Sparks a Dramatic Comeback

Cagliari refused to surrender despite trailing at the break.

Alieu Fadera, Michel Adopo, and Juan Rodriguez all threatened Roma’s goal, but Gollini made several crucial saves to protect the hosts’ narrow lead.

With just nine minutes of normal time remaining, Cagliari finally broke through.

Adam Obert supplied Daniel Maldini, who finished beautifully into the bottom corner to make it 2-2.
