Tottenham Hotspur pulled off a sensational 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, ending their London rivals’ six-match unbeaten home run and securing just their second league win at the venue in 37 visits.

An unfortunate own goal from Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders and a brilliant late strike from Mathys Tel handed Spurs a memorable Premier League triumph. Meanwhile, Cole Palmer’s red card compounded a miserable evening for the Blues.

Chelsea vs Tottenham: Match Highlights

First Half: Chelsea and Tottenham Battle in Heavy Rain

Heavy rain at Stamford Bridge made conditions difficult as both London rivals searched for an early breakthrough.

Chelsea, missing their leading scorer João Pedro, looked more threatening early on. Cole Palmer nearly opened the scoring with a curling effort, but Tottenham goalkeeper Antonín Kinský produced an excellent save.

At the opposite end, Mohammed Kudus fired wide before Omar Marmoush squandered a promising opportunity, shooting directly at Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders.

The Blues gradually improved before halftime, with Jordan Henderson and Pedro Neto both testing Kinský. However, neither side found a breakthrough as the opening 45 minutes ended goalless.

Second Half: Penders’ Costly Error Changes Everything

Tottenham continued dominating possession after the restart, although clear-cut chances remained scarce.

Pedro Neto nearly broke the deadlock shortly after the hour mark, but his effort went straight into Kinský’s hands.

The turning point arrived when Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders made a disastrous mistake while attempting to clear a Tottenham corner.

Despite facing little pressure, the Belgian goalkeeper misjudged his punch and sent the ball back into his own net.

The unexpected own goal handed Tottenham a precious advantage and silenced the Stamford Bridge faithful.

Cole Palmer Sent Off as Chelsea Collapse

Chelsea’s comeback hopes suffered another major setback when Cole Palmer received his second yellow card after a late challenge on Conor Gallagher.

Down to 10, the Blues struggled to contain Tottenham’s attacking movements.

With just three minutes of normal time remaining, Mathys Tel delivered the decisive blow.

The French forward surged into Chelsea’s half, skipped past Maxence Lacroix and unleashed a precise low shot into the bottom corner.

Chelsea 0-2 Tottenham. Game over.

Tel’s clinical finish sealed a historic away victory for Spurs and completed a frustrating evening for Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea.
