PSV Eindhoven pulled off a stunning comeback against Juventus to book their place in the Champions League last 16. Ryan Flamingo scored an extra-time winner as the Dutch side overturned a first-leg defeat to eliminate the Italian giants.
Juventus had won 2-1 in Turin, but PSV showed incredible spirit at home to claim a 3-1 victory on the night and progress 4-3 on aggregate.
A Night of Drama in Eindhoven
PSV started aggressively, pinning Juventus back early. Noa Lang was lively on the left, creating chances with his quick feet and vision.
Their pressure paid off in the 53rd minute when Lang broke free on the halfway line, charged forward, and cut past defenders before setting up Ivan Perisic. The Croatian winger struck a powerful shot into the bottom corner to give PSV the lead.
Juventus responded in the 63rd minute. Timothy Weah fired a stunning volley past Walter Benitez to restore Juve’s aggregate lead.
But PSV refused to give up. In the 74th minute, Luuk de Jong caused chaos in the box, and Ismael Saibari reacted quickest to smash the ball into the net, making it 3-3 on aggregate.
Flamingo’s Extra-Time Heroics
Neither side could find a winner in normal time, pushing the game into extra time. PSV kept attacking, and in the 109th minute, their persistence paid off.
Johan Bakayoko’s low cross caused problems for Juventus keeper Michele Di Gregorio, who failed to clear. The ball fell to Ryan Flamingo, who tapped it in to send PSV fans wild.
Juventus tried to respond, with Kenan Yildiz hitting the post, but they could not break PSV’s defense. The final whistle sparked huge celebrations in Eindhoven as PSV secured their place in the next round.

Juventus Crash Out in Disappointment
Thiago Motta’s side had controlled the first leg but struggled in Eindhoven. Their defense, solid in the first half, collapsed under PSV’s relentless attacks in the second half and extra time.
This defeat added to a miserable week for Italian football, with AC Milan and Atalanta also being knocked out of the competition.
What’s Next for PSV?
PSV will now face either Arsenal or Inter Milan in the last 16. The draw will take place on Friday at 11:00 GMT.
For Juventus, the focus shifts back to Serie A, where they will need to bounce back from this painful exit.
