Vedat Muriqi continued his sensational scoring streak as RCD Mallorca<\/strong> produced a statement performance to thrash Sevilla FC<\/strong> 4-1 in LaLiga, securing back-to-back home wins for the first time since October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The emphatic victory at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix not only lifted Mallorca out of the relegation zone but also sent a strong warning to their rivals in the survival race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Half: Muriqi Strikes, Maupay Responds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mallorca entered the match under pressure after losing three of their previous four games, but they started with real urgency. Sam\u00fa Costa and Muriqi both went close early, while Jan Virgili forced a fine save with a powerful long-range effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The breakthrough came when VAR intervened to award Mallorca a penalty after Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Carmona was judged to have fouled Virgili in the box. Muriqi stepped up and calmly dispatched the spot-kick, making it nine goals in eight games<\/strong> for the Kosovo international.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Half: Mallorca Turn On the Style<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The hosts showed real character after the break. Muriqi was denied twice in quick succession \u2014 first by a heroic tackle from Carmona and then by a superb save from Odysseas Vlachodimos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mallorca eventually regained the lead when Sam\u00fa Costa reacted fastest at the back post to convert a deflected cross from Virgili.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sevilla tried to fight back by introducing Alexis S\u00e1nchez, and he nearly made an immediate impact, only for Pablo Maffeo to clear his effort off the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mallorca killed the contest when Muriqi fired a low shot that deflected off Sergi Darder and into the net for his second goal of the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
